I LOVE this venue - if not for the beautiful Queensland temperatures Toowoomba experiences in Spring and Autumn (and secretly winter…it’s the Irish in me…), even more so for the stunning building and surrounding garden which has been lovingly cared for by it’s various inhabitants since 1863, when it was first established. Once the ‘summer resort for Queensland’s Governors’ - you can imagine the suited men lounging in leather chairs with a scotch and pipe of tobacco while scanning rows of books in the library, strolling the gardens and playing the odd spot of Tennis. Nowadays it is home to some an absolutely breathtaking Queensland wedding - with fireworks and a helipad to boast about too. With florals by Ginger Lily & Rose and featuring some sumptuous cottage roses, jasmine and ranunculus - this gorgeous affair also featured our custom made wrought iron arch with hand made foliage garlands and cascading florals. Simply divine!
Courtney + Justin wanted a super romantic, very feminine and soft approach to their wedding florals, with an emphasis on the ceremony and bridal party flowers. The superb glass roofed reception room needs little in the way of extravagant floral features (although I’ll never refuse an opportunity to go nuts…), with so much light and elegant styling lending a sense of occasion to the area.
