I love a west end wedding. The area is already so full of interesting buildings, gardens and right by the river - you can’t really go wrong. When Natalie approached me about doing the flowers for her Brisbane wedding I was absolutely thrilled! We love weddings in Bris-vegas…or anywhere really that allows a bit of a fresh perspective and new opportunities!
The ceremony was to be held on the Brisbane River, with reception afterwards at ‘Loft‘ - in West End. This brilliant venue has the feel of a modern outdoor garden bar mixed with low light, trendy layout and old school furnishings.
With a ‘less is more’ approach to her florals, Nat wanted textural foliage and crisp white blooms. Delicate astilbe, queen ann’ed lace and jasmine was teamed with stock, cottage roses, lisianthus and sedum to create a modern, romantic garden bouquet fit for an elegant inner city wedding.

The bridal table was adorned with a seven metre cascading garland featuring antique hydrangea, ivy, jasmine, pom pom disbuds and lisianthus.

The ceremony feature was supplied by Brushed Interiors and featured a cascading canopy of ivy, jasmine, peppercorn, amaranths, lisianthus, stock, roses and phalaenopsis orchids.
